HOW TO BEGIN YOUR JOURNEY WITH AYURVEDA

1. MAKE CONTACT

No previous knowledge of Ayurveda is required in order to experience the full benefit of treatment. If you feel ready to commit to a lasting change and seeing your health in a transformative and powerful way – then do not hesitate to contact Daisy directly to arrange an initial consultation. If you are not sure if Ayurveda is the right thing for you, you can also arrange to have a phone call with Daisy before committing to the full process.

2. INITIAL CONSULTATION

The first meeting is a detailed consultation in which, Daisy will get to understand the nature of your issues and constitution.

After this she will formulate a tailored nutrition, lifestyle and medicines plan to follow and answer your questions. The length of an initial consultation is approximately 90 minutes.

3. FOLLOW THE DIET AND LIFESTYLE PLAN

Following your initial consultation, Daisy will send you the comprehensive plan which was discussed with you and additionally will include dietary guidelines, helpful recipes, tips and a medicine schedule.

4. INTRODUCING AYURVEDIC MEDICINES

Daisy will explain to you which herbs and exactly when and how to take these medicines. These are safe herbal preparations which are mostly imported from Sri Lanka from a trusted manufactorer and are only available to patients who have had consultations with qualified Ayurvedic Practitioners.

You can only purchase the recommended herbs directly from Daisy after the consultation.
For consultations which have taken place over zoom – the herbs can be posted. Usually you will be given around 1 months supply at a time, so that the effects of the herbs can be carefully monitored and appropriate changes implemented.

Daisy may also suggest to you certain remedies which can be prepared by you from herbs and spices found in most supermarkets.
See below for more information on prices of herbs.

Ayurveda may be great for you if:

  • Have health symptoms which are bothering you.
  • Have a specific condition which is already being treated medically/surgically and you would like to support the management with a natural therapy. (See below list of conditions which Ayurveda can be effective for)
  • You would like to improve general digestive health  and to increase your energy levels and feeling of wellbeing.
  • You seek guidance and support which is tailored to your constitution  and set of unique circumstances
  • You would like to be able to trust your body and your intuition when seeking foods and experiences which bring healing.
  • You are ready and curious to try a new approach to healthful eating.
  • You would like to experience more than just physical wellbeing. Warning! Treatment may produce positive side effects like better mental health, emotional balance and feeling spiritual connectedness 🙂
  • You feel you are in the right place within yourself to make significant changes to your dietary and lifestyle habits in order to prioritise the improvement of your health condition

Ayurveda may not be the right thing for you if:

  • You are looking for a quick fix
  • You tend to mix and match different therapy systems and are not prepared to let go of other complementary treatment modalities during the course of treatment. This can both compromise the benefit and pose a safety risk.
  • You are not in the right place within yourself to make changes to your dietary habits
  • You are not really interested in natural or complementary systems of health or require hard scientific evidence or proof for every explanation.
  • You have acute symptoms or symptoms which have recently worsened or changed. – It is worth seeking a registered medical professionals opinion first.
